And that's not bailing wire holding the muffler on my '63 Baja Bug, it's high-tensile, fiber-spun "speed wire."

A hotel of this caliber better have plenty of ballroom space.

Dang Laminator, break it down. Great honesty on the non-starter categories (pico projectors, WinMo). This kind of direct, cut-the-bs, in-nobody's-pocket discourse is what makes Giz rock.

@Mr.Fresco: @edreyes: Many cities have some sort of CNG fueling infrastructure. Here in the San Francisco Bay Area, there are a couple stations operated by the gas company (PG&E), and also at some at airports and elsewhere. Taxicabs, some buses and fleet trucks/cars use CNG here.

All plug-in hybrid prices will be written down big time by the government if the automakers' get the big buyers' tax credit they're looking for. I think it will be interesting how the credit is structured. I've read numbers as big as $10,000, but I wonder if that will be all at once or on a per-year basis.

Isn't this the electric Mini Cooper that will be for sale in California?

@dana66: Not a game changer? Yeah, the Volt will only be the first mainstream car that plugs into the wall, is driven by pure electricity and whose engine is not connected to the drivetrain. Big deal.

@htrodblder: Unzip your fly so you can blow your nose.

This is an awesome dashboard, and the rest of the interior around it is absolutely superb.

Looks almost unbelievably good. GM will have a hard time making enough. And of course, they may not want to, depending on how much money they lose on each one.

See (and hear) a black/black Audi S5 next to any of these and it's instant E.D. for the Americans. Catch an S5 launching and you'll know what I mean. Then again, you could probably buy any two of these for the cost of one S5...

But what about the Crown Victoria?

@badhatharry: Becky Hammon.

@Tomsk: What does a statement like that have to do with doing drugs? WTF?

MERKUR 2: Attack of the Clones.

Long wheelbase Camry? Taxi yummy. Hybrid? Double taxi yummy.

@philibuster, @TampaRon: Transit Connect did look cool, but Ford made it a non-starter with a manual transmission and without a hybrid powertrain. Any big/smart/thoughtful municipality with half a brain/conscience requires all new cabs to be hybrids or clean air (CNG, etc.) vehicles.
