Yep, that’s how I saw it. I’m actually surprised that they decided to just allow it. I assumed they were going to save it as a ‘get out of jail free’ card for if they made some huge PR blunder and needed to save some face.

I honestly just don’t understand these reactions. Like 100% cannot comprehend why this would make someone so upset. Who the hell cares if there are women in video games. If the game is claiming to be completely historically accurate and there were no women in that time period/place, then I could maybe see people…
Definitely. I understand that we need to have a story and they have humans in the film, but we’re going to a Transformers movie to see the Transformers. I want to see giant robots and awesome fights between them.
I’d recommend watching the channel Retro Replay on YouTube. It’s a series where he plays old games with Nolan North, but he’ll do random impressions and “characters” in various clips and scenes, and he’s immensely talented. I think he just happens to get a lot of roles where the directors don’t want him to do that…
I’ve never much cared for Telltale’s games, but it’s sad that so many people are now out of a job. I really hope that they can pick themselves back up and find new work soon!
I understand why they didn’t, but I really don’t like that there’s no analog sticks. Once you get used to them, going back to just the D pad without them is torture.
I love me some Dinklage, but this was like his worst season on Thrones. He barely had anything to do. If anything, Coster-Waldau should have won, he had some excellent scenes. I don’t think Dinklage should have won.
I didn’t care for Breath of the Wild, but Odyssey was just pure joy from start to finish. I absolutely adored that game.
Something to note (I’m not sure if you’re aware or not), but Splatoon 2 doesn’t qualify for cloud saves. Most online games (although strangely Mario Kart doesn’t count here) don’t qualify, to “prevent cheating”.
I think that’s the thing that rubbed me the wrong way about the guy you replied to. I don’t know if he meant it that way, but he came across very condescending against video games, which has always bothered me. Like you said, as long as it’s a hobby that you’re enjoying together, why does it matter what it is? There’s…
I bought Destiny 1 at launch, and got burned. I swore I wouldn’t play anymore, but got the expansion pass right before House of Wolves launched. Dark Below was mediocre, but I actually enjoyed HoW a lot. Loved Taken King, and I thought Rise of Iron was okay. It definitely could have been worse. But what did I learn…
Not that I agree with OP, but what's wrong with gaming with your spouse? If you're enjoying a hobby together, why is that a "worse" use of spare time?
Yeah the gameplay was really remarkable for its time (it really kick started the entire free running type genre) but man has it not aged very well. Say what you want about how rinse-repeat the AC series, but they do improve the gameplay each time.
For me, it depends on the game. If it's a game that I can tell I'll re-play for years to come then you bet I'm keeping it. But there are some games that I'll play once and be satisfied with, so I'll sell them. Worst case, if I do end up wanting to play them sometime in the future, it's usually far enough that I can…
I'm actually the same way. Generally I'm not a "patient gamer", if it's a game I want I'll buy it at release. But there's just something I dislike about coming back to games to play small DLC packs. Even if it's big enough to be an expansion, for most games these days that's only 4-5 hours of content and it feels…
Same here. I’ve actually wanted to go back and play it again, just to give it another go. But I just can’t bring myself to do it. Although in all fairness, a big reason that I struggle with the game is that I don’t find the Revolutionary War to be an interesting time period at all. I could set aside gameplay issues or…
When I said “become an assassin” I meant that’s how long it took for him to don the assassin robes. Ezio had the robes on after chapter 2 I think? Maybe chapter 3. Either way, that’s an issue that I have with a few AC games, is that they make such a big deal about the person becoming an assassin. Why? We all know…
I don’t know, I think that Revelations is where it started going off the rails. Revelations had great gameplay, but that’s really one of the only positive things about it. 3 definitely continued the downward spiral though.
As many complaints as I have with AC3, the amount of time it takes to actually become an assassin was probably my biggest one. If I recall correctly, you don’t become an actual assassin until around chapter 6, and the game only had 13 chapters. I get that you need to build the story, but come on.
Yeah that’s the unfortunate reality with the first game at this point. The series has evolved so drastically that I don’t think a basic remaster would cut it. They’d almost need to do a full-on remake.
