And the depressing this is that so many people will still buy it because “sports games”. The casual gamer doesn’t care about this stuff, or doesn’t do enough research to know. They just think that’s how it is, so they put up with it and it’s so sad.

Damn, the side content is what I was most worried about. Oh well, still really looking forward to it. Does anyone know if new game + will come to the game? 

Honestly, everything I see about this game makes it seem like it’s not anything like their previous games, they know that, but don’t want to admit it. So they’re spouting nonsense to try and stay in people’s good graces.

In all fairness, they’re also pointing to the lighting, especially around Spider-Man. With the picture on Reddit, you can see a difference.

Allegedly Respawn chose that release date. They’ve gone on record as saying they’re the ones that chose it. Either they’re lying and EA made them take the hit for it, or they really did choose it and instead of shooting themselves in the foot, they blew both feet off with a shotgun.

Mine is probably Monster Hunter: World. I got it on PC and only played for about an hour and a half before refunding it because I just couldn’t stand the combat. I know that it takes more time to really understand and get, so I’m just going to go back to it when it’s on a steep sale.

That’s honestly how I am. I tried Red Dead at least 3 times before finally getting sucked into it (currently playing it, actually). I think it definitely has a really slow start.

The only thing I’m not really digging is the UI (I’m not loving the blocky red, and think it looks very generic and bland). Other than that, it looks fantastic. Definitely looking forward to seeing more!

This is just disgusting. You hear more and more vile stories about how awful that people can be, but you really just don’t believe it... How can someone be so evil and so hurtful, and then not even give a damn about it? I just don’t even understand. 

This entire launch was handled in the shittiest way possible. I am so irritated that I couldn’t land one because basically no one would give a straight answer or confirm when they would launch. Just a joke.

That is true, but the circumstances are vastly different. The first game was a bit of a rush job towards the end anyways, and (allegedly) is a real mess in terms of code. Porting it to PC would require essentially re-building the entire game from the ground up.

I totally understand your point, but I think you’re blowing things a little out of proportion. The $80 edition of the game comes with 1 extra mission and some really minor DLC. I wouldn’t call that “the complete game”. Is it scummy to scoop some content out and save it behind a more expensive edition? Of course. But I…
