I have a good friend who refers to Uber as “paid hitch-hiking.”

This is why we should NOT so quickly dismiss cheating: it’s a violation of a partner’s autonomy over their own body. It’s a consent violation.
Plus, if she stays married and he abuses them, the courts can and likely will terminate her rights.
“People who refuse to believe have never been seriously lied to by a partner.”
Yep. What if the spouse is autistic or has some form of disability that means they can’t read people well? What if the “bad” spouse is really good at lying?
“She’s gorgeous (obviously not that it means anything, as we learn from shit like this ) and they had only been married a few years.”
“I sometimes think that people are so insistent that “she knew” or “he must have known” because it makes them feel more secure in their own situation.”
You must have ZERO experience in this in the real world. As someone who has decades of courtroom experience, it is more common for a parent not to know about sexual abuse than for them to know.
Had a client who had in-home care for a mute, autistic child through an IEP. The school absolutely pitched a fit about the cameras. We sued. And won.
And we encourage women to be conciliatory and not to “overreact” to bad behavior or warning signs.
As a lawyer who handles divorces, incapacity, and death issues: I LOATHE people who say “they must have known” about cheating, abusive behavior, sexual deviance, pedophilia, etc. These are often the same people who scream at women when they complain about men telling them to smile, men being handsy, etc.
Big Muddy (in southern Illinois).
One of the coolest place no one ever visits: Cairo, Illinois and the confluence of the Ohio and Mississippi. You can literally see the clear blue Ohio mix with the muddy Mississippi.
I do like the women making country music.
Yep. And we would NOT have bluegrass if Bill Monroe hadn’t been exposed to Jazz (via African Americans) while working in the factories to earn extra cash.
If I had to write up a tribute concert for Dolly or Loretta Lynn, there are songs I’d have Beyonce sing.
Thank you. It makes her leg/hip juncture look like it’s jointed.
She’s a lot less “country” in her soul than Beyonce.
I don’t hate this dress, but I also don’t think it is right for her in the area where her legs meet her hips. It makes her look disjointed. This is a travesty given her amazing figure.
I also know a lot of traditional white women over 80 who love Charley Pride and feel both lust and shame for it.
