I always convert to the well known standard, JPF (Joules Per Fortnight),  measured at the right power mirror connector.

We had some sorter operators who used to slightly scrape the micr line, then cash the check on their way to work and then look for it to end up in the reject pocket that night. They’d retrieve it and destroy the evidence. They almost always got caught ‘cause they did it too many times and for the same amount.

I can imagine - I used to do machine language programming - the 1's and 0's. Also did octal and hexadecimal math - used to be able to convert to decimal and back off the top of my head. FF = 255

dopaz - you are most probably correct - I worked on MICR for many years but it was in banking so we were only dealing with numbers and special symbols. I just agreed with Jason to keep him happy and now you’ve gone and spoilt it! ;)

I worked on MICR E13B and CMC7 for 30 years, magnetic and optical recognition. Those machines were the least loved and most worked on peripherals attached to the old mainframes. Better luck in my next lifetime!

Attractive vehicles but too problematic. Just gonna drop the hammer on my foot instead. CP unfortunately..

My son an I watched the whole darn thing - we had other plans but couldn’t tear ourselves away. Of course we attend Petit Le Mans every year and my son has been to Le Mans so nothing to it!

F + 9/5C + 32 , C = 5/9F - 32. My first computer program I had to write in machine language back in 1974.

COTD?

Will you be driving the 1948 Phutney-Creech Land Yacht?  (I’m guessing you know the reference here?)

From Green Acres:

Bad genetics man.

And me. Well, in all honesty, someone in my age bracket.

I’m holding out for The Matchbox Movie

I feel your pain - I used to have to deal with seeing those damned signs when I lived on the coast. This is where we need to put up a border wall.

I’d like to share my friend libby’s handiwork (if Kinja will let me)

Don’t sugar coat it man!

I had my license less than two weeks in early 1971 and was on I-35W and a Corvette came at me the wrong way on the interstate. We both swerved right and missed each other.

Are there any drugs left over from that commercial or do you suppose they used them all up? Cool little vehicle though
