I think our country needs to rethink how we treat young black bodies too. The fact that child abuse is normalized in predominantly black charter schools is depressing. Looking at you Noble Charter Schools.

I had siblings who went (were forced by my dumb parents) to one of those schools. Both siblings dropped out of their first semester of college. That prison... I mean school is only designed to discipline black and brown kids.

The irony is that poor/black schools were forced to implement clear backpacks, metal detectors, uniforms, and security guards right after Columbine. I guess affluent schools (the ground zero of school shootings) are finally catching up.
