And the latest dogwhistle is pretence about “caring for Trans kids’ health” by denying treatment. The only thing accomplished by denying hormones for Trans kids is an increased rate of suicides.

The TERF trash UK group “LGB Alliance” was caught setting fake groups in other countries. They’re trying to pretend their anti-Trans BS is a worldwide phenomenon, but nearly all their activity traces back to the UK.

I’m a bit surprised nobody raised the most famous example of wearing a shirt from a place someone never attended:

I started becoming a sports fan in the late 1970s and just missed seeing him play on “Game of the Week” or whatever baseball broadcast was on. All I ever saw was highlights after he retired, one of my biggest regrets.

His voice was a baritone with a nasal quality, unique and instantly recognizable. Such a gentleman, too - I’m over 50, a fan, and I’ve never heard one bad word about him all my life.

And now Charlie Pride has gone too, from complications related to COVID-19.  He was 86.

There are plenty of accurate words to describe Owens (e.g. mouthpiece, vapid, irrelevant) without delving into racism. Like the headline says, it’s not hard to stay away from this.

I don’t buy the “didn’t know” claim.
