Sorry, I was speaking from limited personal experience and observation. I live in Asia (multiple countries), not the US, so I probably don’t see the same things.

Hockey and baseball have the same problem, small high velocity objects that can kill (re: Brittanie Cecil, 1988-2002, killed by a puck). I’m glad that netting is becoming standard in both sports, and it probably should go out to the foul pole.
