I just dropped my cable in favor of streaming content from Netflix, Amazon, Itunes, hulu, and all the other available options from Roku and Appletv. Couldn't justify the high cost of cable anymore. I was spending over $700 a year! And I just had expanded basic service.

For great laughs turn on auto complete and run several searches with awkward search strings so the next person using it can enjoy the weirdness when they start typing. "what does human meat taste like", etc.

Handbrake has several perdefined template settings you can pick from or you can manually change the settings if that's your thing. I rip 1 mp4 file using the AppleTV2 format setup and it plays well on my iphone/ipod touch/AppleTV2. I think it sets the resolution at 720p. The iphone/ipod template creates a smaller

I too love my AppleTV + HandBrake. I was surprised how much we use Airplay to stream directly to it. From iphones to ipads to Macs on the network, that feature alone was worth it. Definitely a winner in the Price/Convenience/Ease of Use department.

Thanks! Going to try the kindle portfolio idea when I get home. Might make a smaller one for the iPod touch.

Around my house we call it "LadyPorn". The girlfriend is hooked on it.

Would love to see this setup on several neighbors houses on the same street.

The same exact thing keeps happening to my gmail account. I had a few filters in place for repeat offenders. One attorney in Florida listed my email address as hers on the bar associations website. Did some digging and found the real recipient. I now have an filter AND auto-response(thanks google labs) setup to

I'm not a fan of this either, to each his own, but I don't see any fake wood panelling.

Good idea. The added expense of COBRA, should your emergency be you loose your job and need health coverage, needs to a serious part of this drill.

I can see how the sharing of goals can trigger a false sense of accomplishment and stall you out. I also try not to share my goals with many people because most of the time they will naturally try to talk you out of what ever you want to do. If I do share then I make it a point to follow through with what ever it is

I'm liking this. Very useful if you have a shelf that is too low and doesn't have enough room vertically to stand them upright.

@VagrantRadio: I'm lucky, being from Louisiana, that my favorite brand makes pods that fit. If not I'd be making my own pods for sure.

@VagrantRadio: I love my Senseo machine. I have two, one at work and one at home. You can't beat the cleanup. Senseo pods do suck in the taste department though.

@drhowarddrfine: I caught the flu two weeks ago. Not sure if it was H1N1 or some other flu, but it was pretty bad. They prescribed Tamiflu and 5 days of home quarentine. I believe they only test for H1N1 if you die so they can add you to the stats since it's not cost effective to test every flu case and the

Anyone here already read it? I started it, but lost interest in finishing it. I may pick it up again and give it another shot, but I'm not sure why I found it dull.

@timgray: I love both of my Senseo coffee pod makers, but I hated the coffee pods that they sell with it. That stuff was garbage. Being from Louisiana I was ecstatic when Community Coffee started selling their coffee in pods. Fortunately not at starbucks prices either.

I had this problem with my surround sound speakers in my apartment. I decided to replace the factor speaker wire with outdoor extension cord. Cheap and well insulated. I kind of like the bright orange color as well. No more cell phone buzz.

I'm no rocket surgeon, but wouldn't all the holes in the pegboard be enough to provide ventilation?
