hired at jezebel! good reporting!
hi
i hear you, and i don’t think we necessarily disagree. there are a NUMBER of comments on here that show just how ignorant the public is about this case, and the recent ruling in particular. many people thing is was a not guilty verdict in a criminal rape trial, for example. the public is welcome to their opinions, but…
*our not are
none of this has to do with him being “guilty” of rape. it’s a civil case, genius. better luck next time.
i never said he’s not guilty. and never said you aren’t allowed to think he is. i asked how you “knew” he was guilty. you responded it was because he didn’t claim extortion, which he did. (and even if he did not, that is a dumb reason on which to rest your case). there has not even been a trial yet, which is where…
she doesn’t have to work with him though. that is clear.
they have. she is free to work without dr. luke.
p.s. he did claim extortion. http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/thr-esq/dr-luk…
I 100% get that it doesn’t work that way. I do think there is a strong argument that it should. If he really is innocent (which I am not saying he is, but I am saying it is a possibility), it is completely unfair how he is being treated in the media and by the general public. and before jez jumps on me and says i am a…
no. that does not equate to guilt. that is not how this works. smdh. also, he is suing her for defamation, among other things. he is asserting his innocence.
what kind of lawyers does he have? good ones. they are doing their job, and they are doing it well
hahaha. patriarchal courts? because he didn’t grant the preliminary injunction? girl bye
there should be a presumption of innocence in public opinion, unless you want a jury pool to be tainted. we do have the right to fair trial in this country.
how is she in the throes of her abuser? you read the part where she is totally free to NOT work with him, right? where is your info coming from?
how do you know it’s true? do you know the facts of the case? the alleged rapist has not been proven guilty in a criminal court.
FYI, it’s not a “verdict” in the commonly accepted sense of the word. it was a ruling on a preliminary injunction, a pre-trial civil issue. not a judgment on the merits of the rape case; not a criminal issue; not a decision by a jury that the alleged rapist is not guilty.
edit
she’s probably contractually obligated both from walking away before her time is up with sony and from saying anything publicly against them. i’m no t.swift fan, but i can see how her hands might be tied.
