libel is strong, but title so misleading. she wrote, “..blackface they claim was ‘purpleface’”. that sounds like the lamest and most laughable defense ever. almost completely unbelievable, and totally unnecessary to word it like that and also include the words “they claim”. yes, i get that “they claim” is true. but

cosign. i felt bamboozled when i realized they have valid explanation! subsequently i questioned myself and thought perhaps i was reading too much into the tone (rough day, perhaps projecting) and i feel better knowing im not only one who had that impression. it’s very misleading.

when i read that, i originally laughed, because the context of the article made it seem like “purple space alien” was just the WORST, shadiest defense. i also thought “don’t ppl think of aliens as being green? idk maybe it’s different in south africa”. then when i realized from the pics that there are many other ppl

yeah the title is technically correct. but you don’t think it’s misleading? it’s not til well into the article you find out the girls are likely totally innocent. it’s clickbait and IMO lacking journalistic integrity (unless she hasn’t updated b/c she is busy, and plans on clarifying when she can.)

haha dont’ hold your breath

thank you for making me laugh! accusations of blackface don’t normally bring out humor, but who doesn’t live for references to the blue/gold dress!!

so someone has to be a “brainiac” in order to have opinions? trump supporters are opinionated. shouldn’t that answer it for you?

thank you times 1,000. i am hoarse from making that point to “offended” white relatives all DAMB day yesterday (and less eloquently than you). i shouldve read your post beforehand. it would have saved me my voice, my time, and my energy. smdh. white people can’t fathom something not being for them.

yeah, i realize that. i was wondering which DA you are saying bargained in bad faith- the original one who made the deal, right? (since the new DA wasn’t party to original agreement). If so, my point was original DA could have intended to keep his end of the deal. New DA is one not honoring this alleged deal. Yes,

interviewers don’t typically ask Beyoncé her thoughts on benghazi, tax reform, nuclear physics, etc. she is a pop superstar, people talk to her about her music, her child, and her equally famous husband. she tends to speak slowly and with a drawl, as many southern women do. to write off an entire demographic of people

funny that you posted about 100 pages worth of your opinion, but when I ask for fact-based info, you are suddenly speechless. I did google, by the way, and couldn’t find anything from a reputable source. but you already knew that, which is why you couldn’t answer.

i don’t know who these people are who are claiming she was an “equal partner” in the clinton admin, but im not one of them. i give her credit for she accomplished. She chaired the Arkansas Educational Standards Committee, co-founded the Arkansas Advocates for Children and Families, and served on the boards of the

what are you talking about when you say the DA bargained in bad faith? it’s a different DA now. no evidence that former DA acted dishonestly in any way, unless you caught something I missed?

you have it backwards. the wealth and power of the defendant is why the deal was made with a wink and a nod. it doesn’t have anything to do with its enforceability. prosecutors make non-prosecution agreements all the time. it is not an exceptional situation in itself. the oral contract is why this is unique.

lol no. no no no no. that is not how this works.

that likely is not enough to make a malpractice suit stick. also, regardless of whether cosby was represented at the time, a defendant’s claim of being “fooled/tricked”does not exist. this specific situation is about whether a pre-existing oral contract was violated. it’s also different from your L & O analogy because

only get hit with sanctions if they’re frivolous. someone as high profile as cosby’s attorney is smarter than to get caught doing that.

you said to me, “it’s the principle that underlies Gideon? Rich people can afford good help, so it’s on them to get it. Poor people need the state’s assistance.” what principle/post is this referring to? you lost me. did you edit OP? regardless, public defenders should not be interchangeable with the term “bad

it’s only a “get out of jail free” card in the sense that he would get a new trial if new evidence of police misconduct occurred. the prosecution would still be able to retry him, which they will. highly unlikely his conviction would be vacated considering all the other evidence the prosecution presented. and police

which hillary argument are you talking about? i never took her jokes/sarcasm about obama’s magical powers being a criticism of obama as much as it was a critique of obama supporters’ unrealistic expectations. i think she totally gets he wasn’t the one claiming to be the messiah. it’s how everyone else hyped him up.
