I got to sit handcuffed for an hour in the back of a cop car while a cop unsuccessfully searched my car, against my will, for drugs. He intentionally moved the vehicle so that the back window was facing the sun and turned off the climate control in Houston Texas in the hottest part of the summer. he kept telling me

I like an Acura?

You would be amazed how good nickel metal hydride batteries have got since those days. I put a set of EBL 2800mAh AAs off Amazon in my kid’s rock crawler and they usually get bored before they run out.

Yes, sir. The cleaner burning grill fuel.

It’s too bad that Traxxas likes to price their shit to actual used 4x4 levels.

Maybe R/C rock crawlers are more your speed?

The collective outrage these generate on social media really do remind me of the two minutes of hate. Twitter was bad before. In a pandemic is fucking poison on people’s minds. As a general rule of thumb anything I see on social media I assume is misleading in some way, ESPECIALLY if it confirms my preconceived biases.

It wasn’t necessarily “planned” to be that small, its just that they took a single cab truck and plopped the rear cabin on it. That’s why none of these had 2 rear doors and the back seat was utterly uncomfortable as seats were either super tall or very low. Also the rear suspension was not modified for passenger use,

It’s almost as if you expect an automotive journalist who hates cars to know about basic car maintenance.

Two years is pretty outstanding life for wiper blades. Most manufacturers admit that their blades are living on borrowed time after 6 months.

I think... I think I’m in love...

Never apologize about being a nerd about things that make you happy and unique.

1988 Supra didn’t have airbags. I believe they made their first appearance in a Supra in the early ‘90s.

The one shown in the gravel pit has it on the roof. Getting a multi-hundred pound off-road wheel and tire off the roof would SUCK. I’ve had to manhandle a regular coach wheel and tire out of the underfloor luggage compartment on the side of the road and it was no fun at all. And I was a fit 23yo at the time.

Maybe it’s just me, or I’m not understanding the actual dimensions of this thing... but, ehm.... why would they put the spare hanging under the body and not on the back or something? Doesn’t mounting the tire here make the break over angle worse?

I replaced the headliner in my 1992 Range Rover with green canvas because it was the only thing I could find wide enough that was cheap.

I just swapped in 92 door panels in my 89 and used those bad ass 6.5" speakers.

To be fair, that is the interior of the EB110 SuperSport, which was more of a track-focused version of the “regular” EB110. The regular interior looked more luxurious. Still, plenty of it came from parts bins because Bugatti was a fairly small company that invested everything on making the car the fastest thing on the

Not a car but I made a custom seat for my Tomos moped. Used an skateboard for the base, a gardening knee pad for the foam, and an old winter jacket for the fabric.

Weekend Jalopnik is best Jalopnik.
