They are that cute - but I tried to get in one once. That did not go well. Other micro cars are much more accommodating.

Well said. Being that he's in Texas there should be next to no rust in the steel. With a proper box or plate job it should be plenty strong. And considering this guy's fabrication skills I have no doubt he knows how to do it right. 

Hats off to this guy. But the wheel base looks kind of bizarre. As in there is a LOT of vehicle hanging off from the rear wheels.  I’d be curious how stable the handling is at high speeds.
