I was in therapy for four months last year for depression- it actually worked wonders. Didn’t make my life perfect overnight, but it helped me realize harmful thought patterns that I didn’t realize I had and I learned how to adapt my thoughts in helpful ways. My partner is in a similar situation as you - started his BS at 23 due to financial reasons and was 5-6 years older than the a majority of his freshman class. There was a 17 year old in his Psych 101 course who would raise his hand to interrupt the teacher EVERY CLASS and ask, “And why would we need to know this?”…
