Saying it's work doesn't mean that every day is a struggle to get through. It means that when you are with someone every day for years, things will get on your damn nerves. There will be times you grow a part a little. There will be difficult times that put pressure on your marriage from the outside, whether it be

I consciously chose my husband at 32 as the antithesis of everything that had gone wrong in my past engagement and I loved him unconditionally. I loved him because of his foibles and in spite of them. I loved him even as he began to show his 'ass' as it were, in the relationship. I loved him even after he left me for

You think Deadspin is confused? There's an increasingly ugly thread on Jalopnik about whether a conscious uncoupling can even be performed in a stick-shift vehicle made after 1968 that hasn't been retro-fitted.

Ellen Page: A++ for courage, C- for grammar.

Not really. Gillis was definitely part of something that happened that night (even Bryom Jr.'s confession says as much). I really think the question isn't so much if these people conspired to murder Edward Byrom Sr., but rather what each party's actual involvement was. Byrom Jr. is the ONLY one who had gunpowder

Really? At no point in the news story where you first heard about the incident or the tv news about the murder or any of the thousands of articles that have been written here or on the rest of the web did you ever read or hear her name?

This cuts both ways. I have been in more than one restaurant where they asked me what kind of dressing I wanted on the Caesar salad.

WTF? you deserve it because???

I realize there are so many things wrong here, but I need to focus on this: anyone who says "catsup" gets on my goddamn nerves.

My all time favorite was the woman who dithered over the wine menu for a while, refusing any conversation or assistance (Ma'am, all wines are available by the glass, you're welcome to taste anything, if you're unsure) finally settled settled on a Pinot Noir, only to angrily send it back declaring loudly, "Maybe you

For me, sweetbreads refers to Mexican sugared breads and whatnot. I had to google to see what it was for a French restaurant.

Bravo, you're an asshole!

Wow, whatever happened to 'you eat what your parents made for you or you go to bed hungry'? There were a few times in my childhood that I went to bed hungry, but good on my mom and dad for not bending over backwards. I wouldn't.

They would not be vegan if they were fried in an animal derived oil.

"I had a customer ask, 'can I get water with no ice but like...cold like if it did have ice in it?'"

"Aww, you don't understand how institutional racism affects how racial stereotypes are perceived? *shrug*"

She can call it "not racist" because some hack whose textbook she read redefined the word. Changing the definition of words or phrases is a common tactic around here, almost as common as trying to shame people to silence due to an overabundance of privilegee.

I don't think you're using that word correctly. For example, let's say a native american verbally assaults a chinese man in a bar, using the most racist terms available. Then, the native american man chases the chinese man outside and beats him to death, while using the same racially-charged epithets, phrases, etc.

Cue influx of humanities majors who don't understand that racial stereotyping is an ignorant thing to do regardless of power dynamics in 3.... wait, it already happened.

So, because I am that person, there actually is a difference between free-range/free-roaming and cage-free eggs. Cage-free eggs just means that the laying chickens weren't in a cage, but can be and usually are still confined to a small space like a pen or coupe. Free-roaming/free-range chickens are given more space,
