I’m perma-banned there too! I’ve been on this site since it began as an NYC media gossip site... like since 2004 or so. I guess we all have to move on at some point in our lives.

Right, it kind of seems like being “in the black” is a Jez endorsement of someone they consider a “trusted commenter”. Which is fine! Really! But if they’re going to categorize someone as no-longer-trusted, it would be nice to know why... like a quick “hey, this comment violates our [whatever] policy, kindly chill out

Quite honestly, regardless of how it’s supposed to be used, most of them time the act of “graying” is punitive as the poster either disagreed with the author, or pointed out some error - or because the author just plain ol’ doesn’t like that person. Being “in the black” is basically being cool and popular ‘round these

Since folks are being put back into the greys, can I get one of their spots? #baewatch

Someone should check their sources, because in the german media the girl didn’t admit anything. In fact, her mother still says the girl’s story is true. The reason why this story is called a fake is because her cellphone was at a friend’s house at the night of the allegadly rape and the friend says she was there, too.

Since I’ve been gray, am currently gray, and will likely remain gray forever since I point out editorial mistakes:

Thank goodness there are people here who know how to post .gifs to show how angry they are and how they’d totally handle the situation if they were a superhero/Jack Nicholson/an anime character.

I feel like they should cast a black actor as Marlon Brando and an Asian actress to play Liz Taylor. Hamilton the thing and run with it. Make the whole thing a discussion between those three close friends who lived public lives rather than impressions. I would be interested in that version.

Yeah, and that too-dark-to-play-the-role excuse doesn’t hold up anyway. Black folks run the gamut color wise.

Funny thing is, they don't have to. There are literally thousands of black MJ impersonators that don't wear or need makeup to look like Michael in 2001.

You think it would be easier to make a black actor look white than a white actor? Not to mention Michael’s nose and lips were thinned significantly to a more white appearance. So thinning the traditionally larger lips and nose non surgically with prosthetics is not going to be as easy as it is on a white actor with

Studio doesn’t want to spend money making a black actor look white (as Jackson did at that time).

I’d proceed with caution, especially after reading below where you describe yourself as “a romantic fool who doesn’t trust [her] own decisions.”

I’m the worst for this kind of advice as I’ve been living with my partner since our 2nd date. He was a backpacker and his place was just terrible so he just stayed at mine and never went home. We moved countries, travelled across a continent in a car, got married and have 2 kids. Been together for 11 years now and

THIS.

In my experience, the right thing to do is easy. This sounds easy, and if it’s feeling right there’s no reason not to do it.

I actually did save money when I was 5, it’s actually quite a silly story. Banks and stuff showed up on the telly a lot and since my mom was complaining about money I had decided to become a bank to help out. At the time she made my sister share her school allowance with me, so this was about $1 per month (enough to

I knew at that age in watching TV and movies—I identified with the male hero. I didn’t want to be James Bond’s arm candy, I wanted to be Bond. School is also where you find out you’re not what they expect you to be. Gender expectations were pretty clear. We were either boys and did ‘boy-type’ activities, or girls and
