I don't know if that would succeed though. This is a stomach-churning show- and I say that as a big fan (it would be my no. 1 show for 2013, period). Most people would not want to see this, it's too disturbing. Really, I'm amazed NBC put it on the air, and I don't envy them the task of promoting it. It's a cult show,

But Hannibal is going for something so different from Homeland. Hannibal very clearly takes place in a kind of nightmare-reality with its own dreamlike logic. Things like a totem pole of bodies don't make rational sense, but that's beside the point. Homeland likes to pretend it takes place in the real world
