So... You do know that regenerative braking is done with the drive motors, located at the centerline of vehicle? There are no such thing as regen brakes that need to be packaged, unless you are talking about hub motors that Lucid does not use.

Us engineers are an odd bunch who take strange phrases for granted. Allow me to add to the confusion.
I have a sneaking suspicion this is all just a plot to sell more cars long term. People will get sick of mid size and larger gas bills, and want something leaner. Then, Ford can save the day with small cheap imported cars without looking like they took away American jobs. . . It’s dastardly but genius.
