I’m the guy in my group who campaigned for all of us to go from console gaming to PC. I was told it was too expensive to buy a $1,000 PC to use both as a computer and gaming device. Instead, they get $1200 macbook airs and then spend $500+ on the latest consoles.

Console Wars are cringy, but not everyone can/wants to buy every single video game system. Unless the companies want to work together for their demographic rather than against each other, this is just going to keep happening.

Nintendo fanbois are notorious for not having managed expectations. This is probably the real reason why directs are paused and not because of COVID (seriously, they’re a super wealthy company...it’s not that hard to edit together a 20 minute feature remotely).
