If the 18 year old was only the 13 year old’s boyfriend and not the mother and 13 year old’s boyfriend, the sentence should read “ ...the girl’s boyfriend,” not “ ... girls’.” I thought he was dating both the mother and daughter and you were referring to the mother as a girl.
