How many hits would Pete Rose have had in his first 10 years if he only got to play 130 games per year?

obligatory.
I watched an episode of that Unabomber series. (review: It sucks.) But I did learn of a legal term, Fruit of the poisonous tree, which essentially states if the source of the evidence is tainted, then all evidence gained from it, no matter the merits, is equally tainted.
Just because you guys are in the pocket of BIG FUCKING ON THE SUBWAY doesn’t mean you should criticize other websites for how they make money.
It’s not because you’re white. It’s because that’s quite possibly the weakest attempt at protest I’ve ever heard of. No one said anything because they didn’t even know you were protesting.
Find me a dude (who has reached adulthood) who has not attempted this at some point in his life, and I’ll tell you that you’re dealing with a goddamned liar.
The idea that he didn’t know and can’t tell is the whole point of the photo and why the law is stupid.
I think that, in retrospect, the Cousins trade was of benefit to the Kings. Whether or not it was luck, the team has a bright future with Boogie gone. Considering the difficulty of unloading Cousins on any team, the Kings should be commended, even if it does not follow the Deadspin narrative.
“two of the most exciting skill position players ever to play the sport [Barry Sanders and Calvin Johnson] left it early”
Isn’t this the same Deadspin that castigates the NFL for apparently withholding from players the fact that playing the sport turns one’s brains into mush? How can anyone leave the NFL too early?
I can’t believe they had the Galle to do this.
E-”Sports”
Besides going to MLB ballparks and trying to catch baseballs is there a lamer hobby than collecting another grown ups name written on something?
Found one! 166 to go.
Calling it “stealing” is problematic, considering the crime issues in both Oakland and the South Side of Chicago. I know, because I’m working on a Master’s Degree.
The way to fix that is to get rid of maximum salaries, and to keep the salary cap. That way, a team like the Sixers can pay LeBron $50M a year, but then wouldn’t have the money for other players. It would be tough for Kevin Durant to turn down $15M+ more per year than his offer from the Warriors to go elsewhere.
Yeah, I think you can make a strong argument that for some players (coincidentally, the same ones whose league salaries are artifically lowered by the per player max), losing a bit of salary in exchange for playing on a team that gives you a huge national profile is worth the trade-off.
shut up cunt, put some respect in your headline.
I think Bill Simmons talked about that back when he was cool and when I was cool for reading him. Neither of those are true now.
I hear ‘dem euro girls really go for the “halfway boiled seagull with weird tanlines and no car look”
Like a cross between Hugo Weaving and Gilbert Gottfried.
