“A good way to make yourself upset is to log on to the UK website of virtually any automaker and gawk at all of the amazing small and electric cars that are sold in Europe but aren’t sold here, for reasons.”

They aren’t canceling the car they just are not going to sell them in the USA and Canada
The infantile insults youre spewing will not hide the fact you have no idea what you’re talking about, and you’re totally ignorant. Go back to your credit reports. Some of us have real world experience and know the auto space. You don't.
I’m an old credit hand myself, both corporate and consumer, and that had nothing to do with current market preferences. NO small car sells well in this country, and if the quality was so bad, it wouldn’t be a perennial top seller in the global markets.
This to me is actually very sad. In a way, the 500 Abarth kind of symbolizes my foray into car enthusiast-dom.
Because these surveys are NOT ACCURATE.
Your response only demonstrates your pathologies. The kids are tuning the 1.4 engines to 240 wheel, and the worst that happens is they throw a code. Small cars don’t sell in this country because Americans equate size with self worth. When the Ford Motor Company summarily stops building three box sedans because they…
We were just discussing those “rankings.” They’re not the least bit scientific, and they’re based on random mailings to people who may or may not respond. Jeep products often wind up at the bottom of the pack. Know what brand ranks among the top on “customer satisfaction ?
You do realize that talking shit about an ex-girlfriend doesn't exactly make you look like a prize either?
JD Power rankings have nothing to do with actual reliability. What does ride, NVH, etc. have to do with reliability? JD Power—the Grammys of the automotive world.
Ah, the message board troll. First, the engine in this car is bulletproof. Forged crank, cast iron block, vastly understressed as it comes from the factory. Ditto the tranny. There is also very little to break. It’s a simple car, not a cell phone on wheels. Millions of these have been sold, and it's a proven design…
“The core component is the ability to dig tunnels quickly and inexpensively.”
Tell me how else one should interpret your statement:
The problem isn’t that new technology is required - ever been to Tokyo? There are like 15 layers of road and railway above ground and the same number under. It’s that nobody in the US is interested in investing the money to do it (and for some reason, here, it’s an order of magnitude more expensive and slower)
I guess Musk never heard of thing like subways, or for individual cars, projects like “the big dig”
Their “system” is simply a used TBM that they bought. It is nothing more than that and never will be anything more than that. It’s a scam.
For those who don’t know, commercial construction in the United States typically has a profit margin of 5% or less for the general contractor. For heavy civil (infrastructure and public works) contractors, the typical profit margin is 20%. The way this happens is that there is such a small pool of contractors…
The same reason people push elevator buttons multiple times: humans will, almost without exception, prefer doing something to doing nothing.
As a tech support rep for B2B services, I’ll be honest that the old adage of “You can catch more flies with honey than you can with vinegar” applies. If you’re nice, courteous, and try to provide as much information as you can up front, we’re generally more than willing to help you. I’ve had numerous issues where the…
