Dude. I can't change what I see every day in the summer. Around here new Corvette convertibles are driven by middle aged guys, often with balding heads... I didn't make the rules, I'm just playing the game.

Maybe. But you'd think the show car would be totally optioned out. There aren't any optional engines or brakes listed in any of the releases I've read so the idea that you'd need more ducting seems... weird? I've literally looked at dozens of images of different 4Cs today. Not one of then has this duct.

Where the hell is the air-duct that should be right here? Look at the first close up picture showing the "air duct in the front". It should be right here. I've looked at dozens of pictures of the 4C this morning. None of them have this duct, that's shown in the close up.

I got the "chicken wire" covered ducts on the top. But the ones I'm talking about are the white (silver?) ones shown in the first close-up picture. They are very clearly offset from the headlight cluster, just below the belt line. You can see the light cluster front and centre, and the right-side front tire just…

I have no proof of this, other than the word of my cousin's husband who used to race Corvettes in the late '70s until the late '80s, but here it goes.

Where the hell are the air ducts. In the picture that shows them close up, they are very clearly under and offset from the headlight clusters, just below the panel gap. However, in all the other pictures showing the front end, I can't see them.

I don't think they sell enough cars, nor that the subsidy would be big enough to write off all the R&D costs; especially for McLaren.
