You know, it really puts things in perspective when Ivanka Trump’s insufficient childcare plan costs $1 billion and Jeff Bezos’ net worth is ~$134 billion. Jeff Bezos could literally fund Elizabeth Warren’s plan and have a shit ton left over.

It’s all a matter of budgeting. Like, do you really need a chef 7 days a week? Give them weekends off and, right there, instant savings.

I’ve worked for elected and public officials for almost 15 years. You are correct. This assumes the person being prepped is paying attention in the first place.

I understand not knowing leaders all over the world, but wouldn’t the hours or days before an event like this be filled with prep, looking at pictures and memorizing names and such? Especially for the first lady, whose “job” is to host guests at the white house.
