Regardless of who are our elected officials, I believe many charities - large and small - can more effectively provide needed assistance in ways a government apparatus can not, or should not.

The person in residence in the White House should have no effect on where you donate. Although I’ve found out over the years that just because a charity is popular doesn’t mean it’s truly good at getting the donations to the people that deserve it. Do your research.
