I think a lot of the high-end builds that remove radiators and such run alcohol as fuel, which helps with cooling a lot. The atomised fuel vaporises, which sucks loads of heat up through the phase change from liquid to gas.

Also, they don’t always drive back post-run. The cars using chutes and stuff, especially so.…

I drive my 1992 MX-5 between 2000-6000rpm daily. If you were less of a nutter than me, you’d probably keep it between 2000-4000rpm.

I’ve travelled for three weeks with nothing but a backpack; and I could have carried a small tent if I really needed it. Are the roof boxes just for chuckles or did they have some weird reason they actually needed them? There’s tons of room inside a Lancer or Forrester for gear.
