Nicholas Latifi spun his Williams and then, upon entering the track, was struck by Nikita Mazepin. Latifi then lost control and made hard contact with the barriers. It brought out the first safety car of the day—which drivers complained was moving too slowly and causing them to lose tire temperature.

Tesla advertising their system as autonomous driving was surely a co-star.

Dude, it already exists and it’s called the Ferrari Drivers Challenge.

I’m just going to leave this here. You’re welcome.

you can fill up your car quickly with a liquid form of power,

Now playing

Hydrogen is too inefficient and too expensive to produce and distribute

I would prefer Almost Hydrogen: CNG, Compressed Natural Gas, CH4

In theory, yes, Hydrogen can be produced with electrolysis using any electric source.  In practice very little of it is, because it’s so inefficient and expensive vs. just putting the electricity into a battery. A hydrogen fuel cell vehicle can never be as efficient as a battery vehicle because it’s just a battery

it seems like America has largely moved past hydrogen as a viable clean power option in favor of electric motors... But she doesn’t have any experience in an electric car to compare to, so I don’t know how it relates to an EV.

Elizabeth, you know that, currently, most of the hydrogen is produced from fossil fuel, right ? Therefore not any cleaner than gas.

I don’t see how creative people won’t be able to figure out how to hijack loads by just blocking the autonomous trucks in, overriding their little computer brains, spoofing their GPS, or some other tricky trick.

Do you think the average truck driver is going to fight a hijacker for their load?  They don’t own the truck or the freight.

<EVs are able to accelerate as fast as they do largely because they are heavy af.>

OK, I know you work at a dealership but I am going to just go ahead and give you my unvarnished opinion anyway. I’m sure you can take it.

Just pay their asking price without question.

Why not airbags? Ships are launched on airbags all the time. Some giant vulcanised rubber bags are slipped alongside the ship (between the ship and the bank), others are dragged under the ship though the mud and inflated.

They are getting a bunch of baloney, though.

No, because I don’t think the Tesla buyers got any cheese sandwiches.

It would still be a problem because it’s unsafe software being beta-tested on public roads.

No, what is “terrifying” is so many Tesla sycophants acting as if their pathetic Level 2 robocar code and sensors will guide their car with the aplomb of a nonexistent Level 5 robocar. IE: putting that much faith into a robocar system which is woefully inadequate.
