That LSU, not Alabama, deserved to be the national champion in 2012 regardless of what happened in the BCS title game. LSU won the SEC, beat Alabama in Alabama, and ran the table against a better schedule. Losing in a rematch a month after the season ended really doesn’t mean anything to me.
