Maybe because everyone hates Ross and they conflate the two? I’m trying to remember why I don’t like David Schwimmer and I just keep coming up with Ross reasons.

That is very interesting! I think I read he was the one who kind of spearheaded the idea of the six of them negotiating to all be paid the same amount, and that he and Aniston even took a pay cut to make that happen.

I read in an interview somewhere that David Schwimmer was always trying to talk the producers of Friends into hiring PoC for extra parts or the love interest roles. It’s why all of the (very few) PoC guest stars have story arcs with Ross!
