At the end of a very long week I stopped in at the grocery store, and I needed money, so I got some on the way out. I didn’t realize it, but it was the week the new $20s with the big pictures on the front came out. Paper comes out of the money slot and it’s all this play money and I’m thinking if I’m on Candid Camera…

Yup, had the same thing happen to me, back in the day before Canada upgraded our bills so was a bit easier to counterfeit. It was pretty obvious when someone pointed it out next to a real bill, but when you get a couple of 10s or 20s from the machine or get some change back it’s easy to miss.

I have mentioned this before and I will keep mentioning it; I, unbeknownst to me once tried to pay for some Altoids with a fake twenty.
