At the end of a very long week I stopped in at the grocery store, and I needed money, so I got some on the way out. I didn’t realize it, but it was the week the new $20s with the big pictures on the front came out. Yup, had the same thing happen to me, back in the day before Canada upgraded our bills so was a bit easier to counterfeit. It was pretty obvious when someone pointed it out next to a real bill, but when you get a couple of 10s or 20s from the machine or get some change back it’s easy to miss.
