When docked, stock clocks are raised from 307 mhz to 768 mhz (and 921 mhz in performance mode). Eurogamer did a whole thing on this a while back, that the reason games like Mario Kart 8 Deluxe are able to get anywhere near 1080p and BOTW gets a bump to 900p when docked.
