I could defend this sort of game experience up until the point where it was charging 60 dollars for it.  Having played the demo, I do think the set-up is quite fun and the battle scenes are enjoyable epic.  That said, paying 60$ for a game with so little substance just strikes me as wrong.  I'm not even concerned with

You are officially an AVC reference.  Apart from ZMF, you have to be the first commenter to gain that distinction.

Differences in format aside, I just expect more from Merchant and Gervais.

I am not encouraged by the fact that the highlight of the episode for me was Johnny Dep overturning a bowl of fruit.  The show isn't bad, but it isn't up to the standards set by the Office or Extras.

It could have used some more reactions from the Korean businessman to salvage that scene.  I'm not even sure they were playing it straight since the camera focused almost exlcusively on Ashley and Kenny.  It's a shame since I did enjoy Ferrel's first season appearance a great deal.

I too was disappointed by Will Ferrel, a guy who is generally never not funny.  He still did get off the best line of the night with his description of the starting line: some striking paper and two of my sons favorite stuffed animals.

I would say that cannons are generally not so easy to aim, but the episode was, as Nabin pointed out, really cartoonish before they got outside.

Perfect!  Now I have something to go with all the skotch I have been drinking.

I loved your take on Resident Evil: Afterlife.

I wish there was some other way for the film to reach a wider audience apart from an Oscar win, but sadly that is the only real possibility now.

It is nice to see that Deadspin is still doing its best to troll for hits with things only marginally related to sports. Not the Oscar thing, but why do they have so many stories about scandals in high school sports?

Because I am interested in knowing who won, I will look up the winners the next morning.  Eventually, I will look up any winners that I hadn't seen.  It isn't the Superbowl or the World Cup; the nominees already 'played' their final match and the award show doesn't exactly have any tension to it.

It would seem like Italy.  Italian politicians can and do sue media outlets while in Russia media outlets get shuttered promptly and journalists are occasionally killed.  Its the lawsuit aspect that gives it away.

Compared to Japan, they don't really export their television shows so much as play an integral part in producing the cartoons of other countries.  Also, I think the OP was making a joke.

I think Battle Royale 2 was much worse in this regard, but I agree that it detracted from an otherwise good film.

While I am inclined to agree with it being one of the better monster movies around, I suspect I say that because it lacks for great competition some respects.  Unlike Slither, another great monster movie, it isn't tongue-in-cheek, not is it particularly innovative in its set-up.  I can't escape the thought that I like

Compared to the First People's origin, I thought it was simple but very intriguing.  If shows have to do exposition, I would prefer they do it as great as that scene.

It is like having both all the tragedies of the canon story and non-canon stories all visited on the same person.

Episodes eight and nine were great episodes and very important for moving the over-arching plot forward.  The rest of the season has been great, but it isn't quite essential if you want to just get caught up.

Having Olivia channel William Bell for a few episodes was the relative lot point for me.  It was funny for a few minutes and kudos to Torv for pulling it off, but it went on entirely too long.
