He reeks of something, that’s for sure.
He reeks of something, that’s for sure.
Yes, I challenged that guy once by asking him about the women’s gymnastics team, and he doubled down and said the men would beat the women in every gymnastics event, no contest. Imagine what his inner life is like.
I’m waiting for those couple of guys who show up in every Olympics thread to stress that if women had to compete against men, they wouldn’t be allowed in any elite competitions, because there isn’t a single event on earth at which women even come close. This is a very, very important thing to say. I can tell by how…
Now, they do have malaria. But, he just threw in a whole bunch of other disease because African, so why the fuck not, right? lol
So many people talking out their ass about Ethiopia without any notion of the country. It was never a colony. Ethiopia has more or less existed in its current form for a couple hundred years.
IOC: We own the Olympics. Don’t you dare wish athletes well, mention our trademarks, post images or discuss us in any way! Ours!
Millennials got the mascot shot. Millennials made the housing unlivable. Millennials created zika. Millennials lied to the police. Millennials turned the pools green. Millennials congratulated the husbands of female winners. Right.
That’s not true though. The idea of millennials having short attention spans is silly. What’s actually going on is that since we always have lots of options, we dint have patience for people who intentionally make their content difficult to access. And trying to require the biggest cord cutting demographic to buy a…
I mean, they’ve ruined everything else, amirite?*
Millennials ruin things by using the internet! That’s unamerican! You just sit in front of your TV and consume!
The actual translation to what NBC is saying is: “Waaaaaaaa our business model doesn’t work anymore because, kids facebooking!”
So true...we should really be thinking of all the NBC execs who were embarrassed and the advertisers that only got 87% of what they wanted. We are so selfish.
I know, right?
NBC isn’t cable.
NBC is a broadcast station, not a cable station you dolt. It is one of the few channels we can always expect to be free. If NBC wants younger viewers, they should anticipate younger viewers watching online.
It’s not entitlement to not watch something because we don’t think it provides value to us. That’s simply the free market. If NBC was smart, they would have provided the app and monetized it through advertisements, or provided an advertisement-free paywall. Not both. That crap doesn’t fly anymore. We millennial…
I am a boomer, and even I don’t have cable - they lied when they said paying for cable meant no comercials 40 years ago. Now you pay for TV twice when you have cable. I do have an antenna and did watch some of the Olympics. But only because my GF likes to watch TV. If it wasn’t for her I would probably have not even…
I’m fairly certain that that is the exact opposite of how federal regulation of the public spectrum works.
You realize that “cable”, and paying for cable TV doesn’t apply to a broadcast company like NBC, right? I could go and by a digital antenna and pickup NBC for free. So why do I need to have an affiliate cable provider login to stream their content over the internet? And if you say “bandwidth costs money” I will dive…
Nothing is free in this world.
