Oh, and the 2008 Elantra with manual was rated 27 mpg combined (28 for auto) so you got pretty much what was advertised.

I have a 2007 Sonata 3.3L V6 and it averaged only 21mpg in mixed driving but I was also going typically 70-80mpg in the hwy. For about a year now, I’ve been keeping the cruise control at exactly 65mpg whenever I’m on the highway and I’ve noticed a big difference...my average mixed driving is now just under 24mpg.…
