Alright, now for the serious comment. Google is a fairly innovative company. They're also the biggest pusher of online advertising the world has ever known. I'd be interested to see what sort of creative things they came up with... and I'd also be interested (in more of a negative way) in seeing how they integrate…
Yea!! It's good to see the little guy stepping up and challenging big business!!
Unreal Tournament 3 for the PS3 for the low low price of $8. Gamefly rawks.
Yay!! I have no PS3 friends!!
@convercide: and I didn't sell halo. They made a game I want to keep - I was more gearing my statement at the industry as a whole. I see why publishers don't like GS's business model of profiting on used games, but at the same time, that's capitalism for you. Like I said, if you're worried about it, make a game with…
@AdeptVoice: I'll definitely agree with that - gamestop pulls every penny they can out of their customers, and gains a significant amount of their profits from the used game market, and the publishers never see any of that - raw deal. Gamestop is double dipping on each used game, and that's not really cool.
booboo effing hoo. I paid for it, I own it, and if I want to sell it, I will. If publishers are worried about the used games market, make games I don't want to sell later on. Games with a great multiplayer element, or games that are constantly updated with fresh content. If your game loses my attention I'm likely to…
Well, that's it - LBP officially melted my brain.
Anyone else find it ironic that this news comes right before a big GTA4 play and win weekend on XBL?
not really a party in the strictest sense, but I am drinking to celebrate!!
@liquid_kore: Thanks.... although I did die a little inside when the notification "jackthompson is now your friend" came up.
@Noks415: He didn't lose his career - he threw it away by misusing the legal system for his own ends. The punishment fits the crime, and let's be clear here, he did commit a crime.
@Maximus9: He abused his privileges, and brought many an unlawful suit in front of the court, wasting both time and money. This has nothing to do with his beliefs - if it did, I'd feel for him. This has everything to do with the fact that he practiced law poorly. Reeeeaaaaaallllll poorly.
@chuffhoncho: I'd like to see some sort of JT related reality show - you know, like The Osbournes, except instead of drunken Ozzy it would have JT and his frequent tirades about the evil gaming industry.
@JRB: Oh man, that's gonna be awesome - he'll go on about how the whole justice system is wrong and how he's just following his beliefs, and he got disbarred for following his beliefs, and what a mockery of justice it is..... oh I can't wait!!
@AngryEddy: Sweet - maybe he'll snap and start giving REAL dogs to everyone who buys fable 2!!
@M.C.-Action: He is a bit nuts - but he does seem LESS nuts now than he did when Fable 1 was nearing release. Not sure whether that's a good sign or a bad one though.
In all fairness to Peter Molyneux, I would imagine that if you worked on a game for a few years of your life, you'd probably be pretty sick of it most of the time. If he's not pulling our leg about the dev team playing and enjoying the game, I'll take that as a good sign.
@fourzerotwo: lol - I guess we need to start LEaholics anonymous. I can usually resist, but if it comes with a toy for my desk, I'm sold.
