Willow wasn’t recast “for no reason.” Riff Regan (the original Willow actress from the pilot) portrayed Willow as a very maudlin character. She didn’t do a particularly good job at portraying Willow’s ability to “put on a happy face” in spite of disappointment, something that Hannigan does exceedingly well.

Not really. Many victims try to normalize the experience in order to redefine it. A “fake it til you make it” post assault consent. I know others who have done it and I regretably have done this myself. Also, it never works.
