Congress needs to get over itself.
If the Zika virus caused erectile dysfunction in men, a vaccine would already be in human trial testing.
People who are so vehemently against a woman’s right to choose are usually the same people who can’t understand nuance.
You mean the last 40something years of electoral politics?
I think I read that Zika might also affect the long term fertility/sperm quality of men not just women of reproductive age.
I actually had bad dreams about those pictures. The one where the child’s skeleton was so distorted! It just breaks my heart to imagine what the fetus and the mother went through.
I read that article. To me, it almost seems inhumane to give birth to a fetus with Zika - they only enter a world of pain and suffering. Aborting a Zika-afflicted fetus would essentially be a mercy to everyone involved.
That’s pretty much the Republican strategy - and it’s terrifying how often it works. I know I will have to read any number of stupid FB post from assbackward family members complaining that the democrats didn’t vote for this bill; they’ll never hear or care why.
But it’s happening to Floridians in a swing state, and they still DGAF.
I know, right? Who do they think they are anyway? Human beings with actual rights to control what happens to their own bodies, or some such trivial nonsense?

Aw man, there goes my weekend plans.
Accurate.
Apparently so.
Noted.
It’s all they have left. They’re faced with a shrinking pool of supporters and their only hope is throw flaming meat at their cousin-fucking dirt leg voters.
“It’s hard to explain why, despite their own calls for funding, Democrats would block plans to keep women and babies safe from Zika,”
Remember sluts, do not have sex.
I prefer “female” to modify a noun — it just sounds more grammatically correct to me — but my editors disagree and changed it.
