The truck part comes from truck bed form factor, not the nuances of the under body construction.

This thing seems more like a cross-over with a bed than a truck. That being said, I think many people with traditional pickups needs would be better served with something like the Ridgeline.
Say what you want, but the Ridgeline is almost perfect for the average Joe who wants a pickup but doesn't actually haul that much shit.
