Holy smokes, the image of David dropping a bunch of Xenomorphs on Pandora is about the only thing that could get me even remotely interested in either of those franchises at this point.

I was hoping that the sequel would just consist of the humans returning and just nuking Pandora from orbit.

Pirate Bay.

And so is the next one, and the next one, and the next one, and the one after that...

This is why we don’t negotiate with terrorists.

I’m going to be super-naughty and torrent it in 1080p, then put it on my Plex server so I can stream it whenever and wherever I want. I normally only do this for shit I actually own, but thanks to this CBS All Access douchebaggery, I’m making an exception.

Why did we even need this article? All we needed was a tweet: “You can’t watch ST:Discovery unless you pay up, unless you have Netflix in another country.”

Thanks for the CBS All Access commercial. I’m off to the torrents.

But really what the headline is hinting at (and I bet why 99% of us clicked it) is that if you click and read this article I’ll show you how to watch the show without paying CBS to watch it. Let’s get real here.

Yes, but everybody not in a cave already knew you had to get all access (in US) or netflix (elsewhere)

My thoughts and reaction to be extorted to pay yet another fee to watch a new spinoff of a show I’ve watched since I was was kid in 60s, are so profound and vulgar that decorum prohibits me from listing them here.

It is $10, as the only rational way to watch is without commercials. So that is $60. The show starts in September and ends in Feburary.

Anywhere! You can pay the money and watch it in your home, you can pay the money and watch it at work, you can pay the money and watch it on your phone at the gym! You can pay the money and watch the show anywhere!

Ah, so the answer to the pseudo question posed in the headline is ... the way they told you you’d have to. And here I thought I was about to read a “hack” of some sort.

It’s $6/mo with commercials so, watched in real time, it will cost you $18. Or you could wait until the first 9 episodes have aired and subscribe for one month for $6 and binge the ones you missed.

Soft Nope. Netflix tracks most common VPN endpoints to stop that from happening. Sometimes it does work though! On another note, I’ll be pirating the show. I’m not even ashamed of saying it. I pay for cable, I pay for Netflix - Netflix paid for Discovery... Does Ipso facto work? No? I don’t care.

If they are still offering a free trial, I may just wait until all the episodes and have aired, sign up, binge, then cancel.

And lo, the Clone High film gets kicked further down the road.

So basically you’re saying, “Give up and pay the extortion money.”

i love trek - but hard pass. I will wait to buy the series on Amazon
