The airbags surprise me as I just wouldn’t expect that as a failure prone item (Takata items excluded) as I’ve never once had to touch one on any of my vehicles. When I got rid of my Explorer I was looking for a V8 XC90 and had a hard time finding anything that wasn’t torn up or overpriced (and in one instance both,

No kidding. How has the ownership experience been? I keep looking at those then getting distracted by something else. The wife is nearing the time where she says she wants something newer and as much as I love the Volvo life I’m thinking of pushing her to check out something else and she does love an SUV.

I must know, what is it that you get a tape deck? The last one I think was my ‘02 F150... the ‘04 doesn’t.

If there is an uglier yacht out there I’ve yet to see it.

I wasn’t talking about the fuel use. The blade size is going to be the issue, and to a lesser extent the vehicle weight.

I had a 65 Cutlass F85 when I was 16 with the “whatever gear you’re in is the wrong gear” 2 speed Jetaway transmission (possibly the worst thing ever designed IMHO) and a friend had a 88 Cutlass with the digital dash. I was always jealous of his because whenever it got cold the electrics on mine would go mad.

Nothing “meh” about a Probe GT with the 2.5 V6. It’s an MX-6 with a different skin and a slightly shittier name.

Never stop doing these, high point of my week.

A Corsica can make car crashes dull. I know from experience as I had forgotten about it until the word Corsica set something off.

You’re going to be plowing every 15 minutes with that thing. The guys with an S-10 and a Homesteader plow will even be laughing at you.

Had that Explorer for 12 years and 300K miles and to this day I look back on it fondly.

mmmmmm SVT Contour.

Yeah I’m pretty sure I dodged a few hundred rounds by not getting one. Though the car I had before that (78 Mercury Marquis w/ the 5.8 V8) was impossible to fill for under $100.

The same Explorer that took us across northern Maine. Best SUV ever.

I had a Mazda B2200 for over a decade that was the same way (this was a 1988 truck though so no warning lights at all or options for that matter). That truck got so abused and misused it’s unreal. But it always asked for more and managed to move under its own power till the day I sold it. It’s probably outlived a

Are you in Nova Scotia because I almost bought an Intrepid there in 2002 because I swear they were giving the damn things away (like 2 years old 40K kms and $8K CDN). I wondered why everyone wasn’t driving one.

Impossible!

I towed an F150 about 70 miles with an 8' chain because the guy I sold it to was a knucklehead and shorted the battery onto the hood by leaving a pair of vice grips on the terminal and shutting the hood.

Obviously it’s the victims fault for a number of reasons.

I’d still rather find a nicely used diesel Excursion and save $115K.
