Once again, I am wondering how our country has moved so far to vilify workers looking for....checks notes...good pay and working conditions?! Who is against good pay and working conditions?! Do they hate ice cream and puppies too?!

Yeah sure but do you think creating an atmosphere of cruelty is a wise decision ? For the prisoners or the prison employees ?

Hey, thanks to everybody for the kind words. I’ve really enjoyed writing this column for the last 8 years, and it means a lot that so many people have been regular readers (and commenters) for so long.

Oof that’s rough. I had to go through a rectal probiotic treatment after I cleared the bug because the constant diarrhea pretty much destroyed all the good bacteria down there. I recovered very quickly after that.

An additional element of confusion is street names. Here in the Atlanta area, we have 40+ streets with Peachtree in the name. And some roads change names several times. But our main issue is volume.

It actually put me in the hospital. It caused an ilius in the upper intestine so I couldn’t actually digest anything. I was so distended I looked like I was highly pregnant (I’m a man) and had to be HEAVILY sedated. Then to get rid of it, they nuked my system with antibiotics, killing my entire gut flora. I’ve had Giardia. It's a week or more of nothing but puking from both ends until there's nothing left, and then your body somehow finds more to violently eject. Great stuff.

“The ton” is an old motorcycle term for going 100 mph. “A ton” is a British slang term for 100 of anything, like a 100 pound note is a ton (or a tonner).

Seems silly to intentionally wreck a perfectly good car
