My current fridge is a 2 yo Samsung. Functionally, it’s a very nice unit. Time will tell on its durability. That replaced a GE model from the late 90's. It had a major engineering flaw. They ran plastic water lines right next to a hot compressor. Those started failing within a couple years. I eventually replaced them…

Hold up. We can and should diss very, very hard on all current GE products. Every one I’ve had contact with in the last ten years has been fragile, fraught with problems and ultimately not worth what I put into it.
