This smells to me of a man who is staunchly anti-gay rights and wants to make it seem like the ridiculous prophecy of conservatives - that gay marriage will lead to people marrying their siblings and babies and ANIMALS! - is coming true, maybe to lead to a bit of push back in gay rights.
