I think the Southern shitkicker Cole (not the blank-slate first one) in Infamous is really charming, as is Delsin. Delsin's relationship with his brother really sold the story for me.

There was a neat little Game Boy Advance game they put out with the property a decade or so ago, but yeah, other than that mostly dead.

I'm speaking for myself when I say I want the combat to be modernized, and probably 2% of the fanbase. Maybe more, but we're mostly quiet. The ornery, incensed ones who can't believe a game wasn't perfectly matched to their wishlist yell the loudest.

I hope this is sincere because those are both things I love and a lot of people loathe entirely.

The problem was timing, too. If it had come out on the tail-end of the PS3 as a PS3 title only, I would have felt better about it. A neat little techy shooter to wrap up the generation. And, if they cut like 30% of the side missions and shit and focused on the story and characters instead of how many types of games…

It's an even more alienating experience to play a game you don't know what's going on in than watching a movie, because you still have to push forward and keep playing.
