Survivor is his best book, for my money.

I think that was the video before it. My classic was the same size as the other ones.

The Google Music app isn't a bad way to get your library online (you just upload all your stuff), or at least 20k songs of it. That alongside Spotify tends to meet most of my demands.

I can only speak for mine, which survived way too many high school days in a hot car, sitting out on a seat. More than a few times that sucker got hot enough to burn my hand when I picked it up.

I had an xD, the less-boxy little brother of that. Not to mention the mileage was insane for a non-hybrid. Really responsive, "zippy" little car that was fun to drive. Chicago winters were a nightmare because of the low-weight, but the rest of the year it drove like a champ.

Interesting, I hadn't noticed that…

Oh, I'm in love with my new car. The mileage is awesome compared to what an SUV would have been even 5 years ago.

Bonus: I ended up with a Scion before this car, which had a built in proprietary port with a strange connection on one end, and an iPod port on the other. When you plugged your iPod in, you could scroll through artists (laboriously) on a orange glowing screen until you found the one you wanted.

My new Rav4 has a USB port, but I've never used it for anything but charging. It's kind of brilliant of them to start doing that, rather than having to buy an AC Adapter with a USB charging station. Before you know it, you've got a fucking giant, glowing apparatus sticking out of the center of your dashboard.

After doing a home repair of my 1st Generation iPhone glass with my brother and realizing, oh shit, this is way more complicated than it used to be - I kind of gave up on fixing stuff myself, unfortunately.

Nothing has ever sounded more like a "idea my kid nephew gave me for my new script" than Ryan Reynolds explaining to (stoned, bored) Blade that Jessica Biel hunts with her iPod and custom playlists.

That's awesome. To be honest, when my iPod craps out, I might consider spending $50 and just getting another external HD…

It's not that crazy, actually… They sell those Genesis look-alikes with a digital hard-drive storing tons of games on it, a lot of them terrible.

It's a little crazy for us to get as annoyed as we do, but we kind of just want something funny or stupid to laugh at and talk over, and the jagged cuts of content through the room fuck with our focus. It's a trained thing from watching TV as a kid I guess - the new, random channel could be ANYTHING, and we need to

Definitely. I don't have many CDs, but I bought my first DJ Shadow album blind because I thought Private Press looked cool.

Yep, in Naperville, IL. We were shocked, too.

The sad thing is the only time I've ever seen that is in Virgin Records megastore, and they just had previews for Britney Spears and whatever else was Platinum Hit radio at the time.

Yeah, Pandora is kind of sweet like that. I've found Spotify's recommendation page (works better the more you use it), as well as "similar artists" isn't a bad way to find music either.

I don't have a name for this fucking terrible tendency yet, but my dad does it with TV when my siblings and I head home. The moment you start showing interest in a show, he somehow perfectly pinpoints and changes the channel.

Oh, definitely. Plus, I don't pirate anymore thanks to Spotify (its entry into the market coincided with me leaving college as well). It's just so easy to pay $10 a month and have everything i want, and even stuff I don't want, at my fingertips. I've lost chunks of my library before, and it's really frustrating losing
