I don’t know that I’d call The New Russell Brand woke. He more seems to be going down the “anti-woke without quite saying it” corridor, i.e. Joe Rogan. Though perhaps a bit more malicious, i.e. Jordan Peterson.

He was a fucking jerk, and she should have taken some fucking agency and broken up with him. Are we all happy now?
I thought nothing was going to beat the drum banging for The Last of Us earlier this year - still think Last of Us will finish the year #1 in media assistance, but Barbie will make a real run for it.
You had to put this in an Instagram story for the sake of your mental health? GTFO.
Yeah I’m with the OP. This one’s on both of them. The original sin here is Hill’s - don’t get involved with a professional surfer if you can’t live with her posting bikini pics, dummy - but Brady also needed to take some agency and get out of a relationship that clearly wasn’t working. They had no kids, they weren’t…
Everything the article likes about Bluesky is due to the fact that right now it’s small and invite-only. Once it opens to the public it’s going to be Twitter but with even less moderation.
That’s why AHS proved to be the perfect franchise for Murphy, who never wrote anything that wasn’t awesome for the first season** and a complete trash can fire for every season that followed. There’s never a second season! Just first seasons ad infinitum.
paint Donda as a “dystopian institution designed to satisfy Ye’s idiosyncrasies”
Even if these claims weren’t transparent catfighting, Twitter doesn’t have the money to get into a legal fight with Meta. Twitter doesn’t have the money to stock its vending machines.
Your daily reminder that all these people hate each other and will turn on each other the second it’s convenient to do so.
It’s all about farming that sweet sweet negative engagement.
Came here to say the same thing. The interesting dynamic is watching the Republicans pols choosing to lock in their donor money over the broader wishes of their constituencies, which directly affects their ability to get re-elected.
Yeah my guess is that if anything this was an intentional suck up to the Chinese censors so that they don’t bop the movie, as they are wont to do to female empowerment type flicks.
A decent amount of vegetable-based products are disappearing. I started buying veggie pasta a few years ago (not 100% veggie, but the “enriched” style), and have since grown accustomed to the consistency (it’s “softer” than normal pasta). Now I very much prefer it to the real thing.
Kai Kornhuber, a lead author in the study and researcher at Columbia University called this information a “wake up call.”
I like that they’re taking pains to brand this as “an Instagram app”. Not a Facebook app, not a Meta app. NOT. It’s an Instagram app. Instagram. Did you hear that? INSTAGRAM. Meta and/or Facebook have nothing to do with Threads. Nothing.
The grade affects the price of the card, even thought it’s 1/1. If some had crumpled it out of the box and it was a 4, for example, that definitely would have changed the price. On the flipside if it had been graded a 10 it probably would have doubled the eventual price of the card, at least.
Welcome to modern card collecting, in every card-collecting community. Once the card makers realized that people want rare stuff, and will pay for it, even if it’s manufactured rarity, it was off to the races. It’s still a whole lot better than sports card collecting, where you can have boxes that sell for thousands…
I’m only moderately familiar with comic book grading, but 9.8 could be a good comparison. 9 is a mint card, but it’s the grade they give you when they want to say your card is mint but not super-duper mint. And/or you’re not a good enough customer of theirs to give you a 10 (the real reason), and/or they’re scared of…
It’s like when we’re 200+ episodes and two movies into X-Files, and Scully is still skeptical about the existence of the paranormal. Really, after all the shit you’ve seen?
