Probably minority opinion: The nepo baby issue is overrated. The last name gets you the interview, you get yourself the job. And she’s absolutely right that the expectations are higher.

The sixth movie is really lovely - easily the best-looking of all the films.

I dislike the bland and colorless directorial stylings of David Yates, but the third and fourth movies were fantastic and I wish they had kept going in that direction, hiring a different auteur to make each film.

So the two year hiatus isn’t helping here, but how long has it been since Viserys’ death? Like, three weeks?

A thing I thought was neat that may or may not be making it into the show, was the tragedy of Arryk and Erryk becoming the biggest hit song in the realm until “The Bear and the Maiden Fair” eventually comes along.

I wonder if some of these scenes are left out of the unfinished media copies that reviewers are given.

He reminds me more of Varys or Littlefinger, except he’s gotten to the point where he no longer has to scheme all the time. He’s been my favourite character so far. I could watch him be sad about being fired forever. I love his complete disinterest in his daughter’s life beyond what she can do for him, and him not

I think he’s as good as Tywin, but doesn’t have the money to prop himself up. He’s got to just play the game, whereas Tywin played the game, but could also just use the brute force of his money when he needed to.

Rhys Ifans deserves an Emmy for his work in this episode. Absolutely masterful.

Otto is a snake but he knows good PR.  He basically did the Emmett Till funeral and its a smart choice.

Daemon just looking off to the side while everyone talks about the assassination..."do do do, just thinking of something else over here, not looking guilty".

To any non-book readers, no, you didn’t just forget that Alicent and Viserys had a fourth child. One of the weirder adaptation choices in Season 1 was that Daeron was never even mentioned once, and we only had a statement from the producers to let us know he hadn’t just been cut completely and was in Oldtown.

Libertarians: Republicans that have realized that other people have emotions but are still comfortable ignoring them.

They also tend to vastly overestimate their own intelligence, so distancing themselves from a political ideology proven to appeal to the stupidest of the stupid while remaining in alignment with its every tenet allows them their vanity.

Welcome Back, Potter

Well, I guess I can see this working, if instead of simply adapting the books again, they treat this as an opportunity to retell the Harry Potter story with the benefit of hindsight. JKR’s vision for the series clearly evolved between the first book and the last, so it would be interesting to see the entire story from

I feel like reboots work when they want to tell new stories. Spider-Man has been through 3 different iterations and 2 of them included the origin story... but then they had different villains and plots. The third one (rightfully) did not bother. Same with Batman.

Hogwart’s SVU (Supernatural Violations Unit)

Harry’s an Auror, right? Just make it a procedural cop show.  It’ll run for ten seasons easy.

Get ready to hear Myrtle really moan!
