They’re both in their twenties. They both have some growing up to do.

I thought the exact same thing. Pictures are hung, people are hanged.

Yes! Those are both my two favorites. “Welcome to being a woman, Kiley.”

And he consistently has, during his presidency.

This article veers dangerously close to letting perfect be the enemy of good.

Biden has said multiple times that he wants Congress to codify abortion rights, that he wants to sign that legislation. WTF is this article? Are you trying to dampen turnout?

Same! AV Club ungreyed me years ago but I can’t get an amen from Jez.

He was a great straight man against Barbra.

Right? Why give him more attention? He’s already intolerable, this is just going to encourage his delusions.

I saw it today. I really enjoyed it. I’m a huge fan of the original series and one of the most insidious aspects of it is how sucked in you, the reader, get vis a vis the values of the THG universe--that is, you want to see other Games. It’s its own thing. It’s certainly not a good adaptation of King’s novel--Jack is a psycho just waiting to erupt in Kubrick’s movie, whereas he’s a genuine tragic hero in the book. But on its own terms, Kubrick’s version is terrific. (MUCH better than King’s extremely cheesy TV-movie version in the ‘90s.)

    Huge victim complex as well.

People were openly crying on the sidewalks in Manhattan.

Yes! He was awesome as Trashy. Gary Senise was great, Ray Walston was great, Laura San Giacomo was great, most of the cast was excellent. Rob Lowe was—kind of miscast as Nick (I always saw Nick as darker-skinned, not so boy next door) but he acted the hell out of it. (Sheridan didn’t really impress me as Flagg but
