Pointing out that a statement came from privilege is not a “butthead” level argument, and it’s completely and annoyingly condescending for you to even suggest it is.

Her issue was she made payments on a non-qualifying plan. So, she was on a plan they don't allow for public interest forgiveness, which is why her payments didn't count.
This seems to be a very privileged view on finances, paying off debt, and saving. People should fund their savings however they can, including any money from windfalls. Savings is a heck of a lot more important, urgent, and necessary to the average person, because the lack of proper emergency savings accounts can…
This is for the 25-year plan. If you go that route, the amount forgiven after 25 years is taxable income. The public interest forgiveness is not taxable.
As others said, confirm you’re on a qualifying plan. Setup your payments on autodraft to make sure they’re never late the entire 10 years. Call in to report any income changes as they occur. Other than that there is no catch, unless Congress abolishes the plan or institutes a cap.
Your second point should not occur unless someone has the proper savings built up and other forms of debt paid off. You shouldn’t be plowing a bonus or tax refund into student loan debt if you don’t have emergency funds setup or you have $10K in credit card debt to pay off. If you lose a job, loans can go into…
Also, “#girlboss” is now something shady ass MLM companies have picked up on. If I see one more Facebook MLM recruitment post from a rep from Stella & Dot, Beachbody, Arbonne, 31, etc. with #girlboss on it, I’m going to scream.
Sadly. It’s true. My friend knows her better than I do as they have children the same age. This woman’s obsession with her son is just beyond any type of normal parent-child relationship. Every time my friend sees her she gets more disturbed by this woman’s behavior.
I know someone through a friend who hasn’t had sex with her husband since she was pregnant with their child. She freely gives up this information, too. She said there’s no point to it since she has a child now. She moved into a separate bedroom that she shares with her son. Her child is 8. He’s in the 2nd grade. She…
Yes! I said this in another comment, but she sounded ridiculous! “They came up my stairs. Up the stairs. Up. The. Stairs! They walked on stairs in my house. Up them! Who walks on stairs? Who walks up the stairs? Why would someone in my house think they could walk up my stairs?!”
My thought exactly! They look like those white, cabinets with no pulls that every apartment had in the ‘80s and ‘90s.
Very vile to everyone. That comment the one snooty one made about “associating with ‘the help’,” I wanted to throttle her! What a horrendous comment to make!
Hate to break it to you, but she favorited one of my tweets, too. She may be stepping out on you.
Evidence can be complex and difficult to work out, especially during a long trial when a lot of evidence and a lot of testimony was presented. When you bring in DNA evidence, it can be even more complex due to the nature of DNA evidence and the technicalities involved in an explanation of how a test was run.
The author didn’t make that comment. It states in the article that it was the woman who previously identified Avery as the man who raped her in the case from the ‘80s.
Your last sentence is SPOT on! I went through this shit with a sibling. My mother said, “Hey, shouldn’t have alcohol in a car and driving around with it at 16. You’re grounded.” My dumbass, permissive dad fell for my sibling’s bullshit just to get out of paying child support to my mom. It was a complete mess. My…
I agree re: Inside Out. I believe Richard Roeper wrote something referencing this in his initial review of the film—that this was an A+ film all around and deserves to be nominated for Best Picture. The movie was truly one of the best movies of the year, and shouldn’t be relegated to the kids’ table.
I’m really liking this season as well. I actually like how they switched it up. It makes it fresh. Plus, Sarah is able to interview a lot more people for this than the first season, which I think helps make this interesting.
