I don’t know how old Hazel is but your memory of that time period is spot-on and I think that’s part of why this analysis lands wrong for some of us — the early 2000s were a dark fucking time to be a woman, and Jimmy Kimmel and Adam Corolla fed that culture and were fed by it in kind. Adam Corolla got sucked in

I don’t know the law in MO, but the Castle Doctrine does not as a rule allow you to break laws with impunity despite being on your own property. And putting up a gate does not convert municipal streets into private driveways. As I said, standing outside with a gun would have been legal. Pointing a gun is not.

It’s an M-16. Not illegal in MO, naturally, but Missouri gun laws state -

My theory is that the guns aren’t loaded, and that’s why they’re so cavalier about pointing them at each other and every which way.* They wanted to come out and scare people, but they weren’t prepared to actually shoot anybody.

On the bright side with that finger position she’s going to pull that PPK so far to the right when she pulls the trigger there’s no possibility she’ll hit her intended target. Of course she was never going to hit her intended target.

These people are just wrong. From soup to nuts.

So she is:

It looks like she’s doing the ‘Little Teapot’ song and dance.

I propose either “PPK Patty” or “Walther Wendy.”

“Signs, Signs, Everywhere signs!”

It can be two things.

Yes.

That woman has never fired a gun before in her life and should never be allowed near one again:

That’s what you get in states where “proving you know what the hell you’re doing” before getting a gun is considered unconstitutional.

That’s what you get when you hand guns out to people who haven’t had a day of training with them: people like Patty.

Anybody else feeling a bit paranoid with all this good (or, at least, neutral) news coming out of the Supreme Court? Aside from the recent decision on asylum, I have to wonder how the Roberts Court is planning to spend the political capital they’re building. Maybe Roberts is just being a good Republican operative and

You’d think a lawyer would know not to (a) point a gun at people and (b) put her finger on the goddamn trigger. Those are two super major fucking gun-safety rules Ms. McCloskey broke right there.

Man, this new Andy Sidaris movie looks like shit.
